I'm Back!

Wow it has been a while since I was able to post anything, so much has changed in our lives since the last post!! Adam has a new job, I completed my first 5k race, then 8k, and my second 5k. After my duathlon, I seriously thought that I would do a lot more bike riding than running. However, I saw that by improving my running, it will help my biking. I am currently training for my first 1/2 marathon, it is recommended to train for 6 mths before. My plan is to do my first 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) Feb. 12 of next year, 26.2 with Donna. On Sept. 3 last month I ran my first 5k with the AIR in Fernandina, they announced at the race that on Dec. 3 AIR would host there 1st annual 1/2 marathon. If my training continues to keep going as well as it is now, I am going to go for it. Eli also did a run, he ran 1/2 mile, let me just say I am so proud of him! He is going to my little triathlete/marathoner. It took him around 10-12 min to do a 1/2 mile, he is only 2 yrs 8mths old! He ran the WHOLE thing except right at the end. This past weekend I ran my 2nd 5k, I am proud to say that I successfully beat my last 5k time! Improvement = Motivation :) As far as the month of October, I have two more 5k's and possibly 1 bike ride planned. If anyone would like to join me in training, check out my plan here. I would love to here your input and progress. I am doing all my training at my home, I am not going to Jax to train, just using there training plan.

Adam now has a new job, he works at the Wellness Center  in Hilliard. It has been so nice for him to work M-F with the weekends off. Eli and I have really been enjoying all the time we have with him. This week I have started watching my nephew, and I have to say I am absolutely LOVING it. It is very nice for Eli to have someone to play with everyday. Here are some recent pictures of one our weekends! I hope everyone is having a good week so far!!
